The DEI Panel formed in July 2020 under the leadership of Claudia Thompson. The panel is comprised of Core and Franchise leaders and Members.
The Panel is comprised of four subcommittees:
- HR/Business Ops
- Training
- Marketing/Communications
- 3+1
Top 5 Accomplishments in Our First Year
- Monthly DEI Webinar, “DEI PanelDiscussion.” Visit our BNITeamUSA YouTube channel for previous webinars.
- The BNI US President Dan Haggerty and DEI Head Claudia Thompson received DEI Leadership Certificates from Cornell University.
- A Director Training guide: 3+1 guide book to DEI was created to teach Directors how to launch and fill chapters in diverse markets. The guide will be ready for distribution during the 2021 fall Leadership Team Training.
- The Panel partnered with the BNI Global Marketing team to review creative assets (photography, imagery, websites, etc.) to add diversity in images and messaging.
- DEI Content was added to the US National Conference featuring diverse speakers. The training subcommittee is creating trainings on: Exploring Unconscious Bias; Micro-Triggers and Micro-Aggressions; Beyond Race and Gender; Why Inclusion is Important; and The Power of Authenticity.
